CMHO is excited to be participating in Children's Mental Health Week, happening May 5th-11th 2019.
This is such an important week where we are able to bring awareness to the prevalence of mental health issues throughout childhood, the need for government support and funding for community mental health centres, as well as to recognize the dedication of all those professionals working in and around kids mental health in Ontario.
CMHO's theme for this year will be "From Crisis to Quality" based on a new paper that has been published by The New Mentality's Youth Action Committee. We will be raising awareness about our current crisis based mental health care system and will be talking with youth and healthcare professionals about moving to more quality based care. You can find the full paper here.
